This one goes out to anyone who has ever felt hurt or offended in the association of spiritual people…and to anyone who I may have offended, knowingly or otherwise, my sincere and unreserved apologies. The reason we may feel unhappy and not feel a sense of progress in spiritual life can be due to offending devotees.
Good Japa is the fuel of spiritual progress…it fuels the vehicle of Bhakti, ensuring that it has the energy to reach the goal of Prema. Offending devotees is like piercing a hole in the petrol tank. The fuel won’t stay in the car, and the vehicle won’t go anywhere! When we lose the thrill of the ride, boredom and distraction set in because the scenery doesn’t change and we feel we’re not getting anywhere. We then look for substitutes for spiritual progress which become the goal. If things continue like that, eventually, we may even abandon the vehicle!
Keep your spiritual credits, keep your spiritual power, keep your spiritual strength…Keep it real – assert yourself if you have to, address the issue if you have to, change association if you have to, but as long as we don’t criticise or offend the devotees, we will collectively have the power to make huge positive changes to the entire world, for the benefit of ourselves and all people at all times…and we will actually experience a sense of deep tangible happiness, success and progress in spiritual life. As we build up our spiritual credits and keep them, the accumulation transforms us…keep your credits, keep the change!
Even if you feel sceptical, try this and see if it makes a difference…
This is not a Facebook post-its a spiritual campaign-if you agree, tell somebody… The Alter Ego Campaign (reclaim your original ego)
(Its bad enough that people experience an economic recession…we don’t need a spiritual recession as well!)
